PACIFIC MAMBO ORCHESTRA

Named “one of the best Latin Big Bands in the world” by Salsa Trips Magazine, Pacific Mambo Orchestra is a GRAMMY Award winner for best tropical album beating major artists Marc Anthony and Carlos Vives who were also nominated. Their new album The III Side features guests Jon Faddis, Dafnis Prieto, Herman Olivera and Alex Britti and effortlessly combines diverse genres such as Classical, Pop, Mambo, Timba, Cha Cha and Bolero into the now recognizable, danceable and appealing PMO sound with originals and covers such as “A Night in Tunisia” and the Chaka Khan hit “Through The Fire.”

Pacific Mambo Orchestra honors the sounds of the great Latin big bands of the 1940’s through present times, infusing their music with intoxicating energy and performs salsa, cha-cha-cha and Latin jazz. Musicians in the band’s superb lineup have performed and recorded with artists such as Carlos Santana, Poncho Sanchez, Pete Escovedo, Herbie Hancock, Prince, Paul Anka, Arturo Sandoval and more.

2019 Performance highlights include The Monterey Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival and Albuquerque Bio Park Zoo. Previous performance highlights include the Jacksonville Jazz Festival, Stern Grove Festival, San Francisco, Teatro Algarabia in Mexico City, Centro Teopanzolco in Cuernavaca, Mexico and several sold out shows at Yoshi’s in Oakland, CA.
