LAS LOMAS HIGH SCHOOL

The Las Lomas High School Jazz Band hails from Walnut Creek and is directed by Brittany Shankle, Instrumental Music Director. This group performs in at least three adjudicated festivals a year and has won a Unanimous Superior rating on more than one occasion.

Accolades include individual student awards for outstanding soloists/musicianship, scholarships, as well as county and state level honor bands. Many students in this group also perform outside of school on a regular basis with groups like the California Jazz Conservatory Youth Ensembles, the Rossmoor Big Band, and advanced groups at the School of Rock.

Returning to this stage for their annual performance in Oakland, the Las Lomas High School Jazz Band is so excited to be back at Yoshi's.
