MATT WONG TRIO

Matt Wong is a pianist, composer, and arranger with a background primarily in jazz and Black American music. Born and raised in San Francisco CA, Matt developed an early appreciation for a variety of musical traditions, and his assimilation of a range of musical aesthetics has afforded him opportunities to collaborate across a wide spectrum of genres as both a pianist/keyboardist and composer/arranger. Past projects have included commissions/collaborations with: SFJAZZ, Jon Batiste, San Francisco Symphony, Oakland Symphony, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Jazz Mafia, Bobby Sanabria, Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, among others. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, and currently splits his time between New York City and San Francisco.
