MARY LOU’S STUDIO APARTMENT is an intimate ensemble from the all-women big band Mary Lou’s Apartment. While the big band celebrates the works of African American jazz geniuses Mary Lou Williams and Melba Liston, this trio kicks back and investigates the subtleties of the standards and some unique originals. Tonight’s iteration features band co-leader Mwamba Blakwomyn on bass, recent resident Randella Louise Jones on keys and multi-instrumentalist Georgianna Krieger on alto sax.
