Yuko Mabuchi began her musical journey at age 4 in her hometown of Fukui, Japan. As a teenager, she was fascinated by American pop music, and after hearing some of the Jazz greats, she fell in love. After high school, she left her classical studies for jazz piano. She was soon performing locally as a soloist and as a member of a local jazz trio.

In 2010, Yuko bypassed a scholarship to Berklee and traveled to Los Angeles to further her studies for two years. She returned to the US in 2015 and was soon performing in some of the city's prime venues. As her music career took off, she held close her commitment to giving back to the community. For ten years, she has been volunteering as an accompanist for the Watts-Willowbrook Youth Orchestra, a selfless act that didn't go unnoticed. The City of Los Angeles recognized her efforts with a commendation, appreciating her dedication to nurturing the next generation of musicians.

The Yuko Mabuchi Trio has performed at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, opening for Branford Marsalis, Blues Alley in Washington DC as a guest of the National Cherry Blossom Japanese Jazz series, the Richmond Jazz Festival (VA), Detroit Institute of the Arts, SFJazz, the Walt Disney Hall (LA), as featured pianist with ICYOLA, the Atlanta Jazz Festival, the Monterey Jazz Festival, to name a few.

Over the years, Mabuchi's discography has grown to include seven phenomenal albums: “Waves” (Vista Records, 2011), “My Life” (Vista Records, 2014), and collections of original compositions.  Her project, “The Yuko Mabuchi Trio”  (Yarlung Records, 2017)was recorded LIVE at USC's Cammilleri Hall, and topped the audiophile charts. (Vista Records) Her latest project, entitled “The Caribbean Canvas”  (Vista Records, 2022), blended the flavors of the Caribbean with Yuko’s personal style.

In Mabuchi's latest projects, ”QUANTUM”(Vista Records, 2025) and “ETHEREAL”, her 2025 smash single (SRG/Virgin Music), you'll hear a harmony of Jazz and Classical, a tribute to her belief in the "oneness" of music. Her second single release, “PARADISO”(SRG/Virgin Music), is a collaboration with jazz great, Jeff Lorber. Through her unique fusion of genres, she paints a universal language of rhythm and melody that speaks to the heart of audiences worldwide, a unique musical experience that will leave you touched and inspired.
