Singer/songwriter known for her huge #1 hit single "Tender Kisses " and winning a star search as a teenager

Born in Waterloo, Iowa, TRACIE SPENCER first came to the public's attention as a child prodigy. She began singing at the age of three and began modeling in pageant competitions at age five.

TRACIE performed and directed her first music video at ten years old. This led to her competing on the hit American TV show Star Search in 1987, where she won the $10,000 junior vocalist prize.

Afterwards, Tracie became the youngest female solo artist to sign a major label recording deal with Capitol Records. Her self-titled debut album, TRACIE SPENCER,  included the hits, "Symptoms of True Love", "Hide and Seek", and the John Lennon remake, "Imagine". At the age of 14, TRACIE released her second album, MAKE THE DIFFERENCE, which included the single, "This House". The hit song reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album also included the singles "Save Your Love", "This Time Make It Funky", "Love Me", and "Tender Kisses", which hit No. 1 on the Hot R&B Billboard Charts. Co-written by Tracie and her brother Sir Spence, the smash hit and platinum-selling album propelled her to become the youngest female artist to receive the ASCAP SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR Award for both Tender Kisses and This House.

TRACIE toured with NKOTB and various other major acts. She also served on the board of the Children's Defense Fund with Hillary Clinton as a teen and was given the Martin Luther King Christian Leadership Award for being a positive role model to youth and nominated for an Image Award. While still in school herself, TRACIE created a 50-city “Stay in School" tour in the U. S., encouraging teens to focus on education. At the age of 15, Tracie appeared on the hit ABC sitcom Family Matters, where she performed her hit song “Tender Kisses" with series star Darius McCrary. This clip recently went viral on TikTok, introducing Tracie to a new generation of fans. In the 1990's, Tracie appeared in various television commercials and recorded songs for film soundtracks, including "I'll Be There for You" for the 1997 film, Good Burger, "The Rain" for Down in the Delta, and A Smile Like Yours "Don't Slip Away" for the Super Mario Bros. (film) and Girlfight, starring Michelle Rodriguez.

TRACIE also modeled for Tommy Hilfiger, Chanel, and Dollhouse, which led to her being a part of New York City and Los Angeles' fashion weeks during 1999 and 2000. She then signed with "NEXT" modeling agency, appearing in numerous high-fashion magazines. Tracie released her third solo platinum album on  Capitol Records simply entitled TRACIE, which included the singles, "It's All About You (Not About Me)" that went gold and “Still In My Heart".

After a hiatus, Tracie and fellow R&B artist, Shanice, reunited on the Daytime TV Talk Show, "Sherri", after appearing in a viral jam session video with the legendary El DeBarge in 2023. Tracie was then approached by D-Nice to perform at D-Nice's Club Quarantine at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and that inspired her to get back out performing across the U.S. TRACIE currently serves on the board for Cedar Valley Hospice in Iowa and has a degree in Psychology and Healthcare.
