PASTOR GREGORY HUNTER: SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE COMES TO YOSHI'S

Doors: 7:30 PM   Show: 8:00 PM

Olivet Oakland’s Sunday Night Live was founded in the late 1980’s by the late, Bishop Gordon A. Humphrey Jr, Director, Songwriter and Musician. With humble beginnings, Bishop used his spiritual vocality influence to lead and direct his choir to become world renown. Olivet Oakland has traveled and ministered extensively in California, Illinois, Nevada, Michigan and as far as Russia as costars in the famous Greek mythology play, “Gospel at Colonus”. They have engaged with artists such as Edwin Hawkins, Bobby Jones, The Mississippi Mass Choir, The Williams Brothers, John P. Kee and have been participants at Oakland’s Art and Soul Festival and the Sacramento State Fair. The Olivet choir has been one of the highlights for years of Olivet’s (SNL) “Sunday Night Live”.

“SNL” was originally designed over 40 years ago to be inclusive to all that share in the faith of the Gospel. Currently Pastor Gregory D. Hunter, a gifted and well-trained teacher, pianist/organist, songwriter, composer, and producer continues this legacy on Sunday nights at 7p. Pastor Jeffery Williams AKA: The Choir Doctor, uses his precision, syncopated timing, and musical abilities as a catalyst to the choir’s greatness. O/O, Sunday Night Live is an experience of charismatic flair and high energy that edifies, uplifts and will leave you wanting more.
