The Oakland School for the Arts Jazz Bands and Combos bring the spirit of jazz to life with bold sound, fearless improvisation, and electrifying performances. Grounded in jazz tradition but always pushing forward, these student ensembles explore everything from swing and bebop to funk and contemporary styles. Guided by professional artist-educators, musicians sharpen their craft on stage and in the studio, collaborating, soloing, and taking creative risks.
