Martin has been busy finishing his new album “Welcome Back Love” and will debut songs from the new LP at the Black Cat. Singles from the new album like “Turning 21” and “Peace of Mind”, “Wait It Out” are catching fire on playlists and at radio.

Martin is recognized in the music community for being an early pioneer to the Neo Soul sound of the early 2000’s with his debut “The Calling” and subsequent full length multi genre releases, “Rebel Soul Music” and “Love Is The Hero”.

His inclusion in the movie and soundtrack for “Across The Universe” helped to reimagine the power of the Beatles catalog and his unmistakable rendition of the long sought classic “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” has been streamed hundreds of millions of times.

Recently featured on the bill of Robert Glasper/Blue Note Napa Black Radio Experience and just off his sold out show at SFJazz celebrating the legacy of hip hop founding father, the legendary Gil Scott Heron, Martin will be bringing all of these musical forces together for one incredible late night set here at Yoshi’s.
