JUJU'S BURLESQUE

Doors: 7:30PM   Show: 8:00PM

Jujuana S. Williams, affectionately known as Juju, is a dynamic performing artist with a B.A. in Performing Arts from UC Santa Cruz. Her extensive stage experience includes standout roles in August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone with BAM House (Oakland) and the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre (San Francisco), Beehive with Palo Alto Players, RENT with The Royal Underground (SF), SF Follies Musical Revue, and Dream With Your Eyes Open with Ponchatoula Productions, which toured throughout Louisiana.

Juju’s powerful presence has also illuminated the stage in Fences (African American Theater Arts Troupe, UCSC), For Colored Girls (UCSC), and Poison Places with the Oakland Youth Ensemble Troupe, which toured internationally in Europe.

Singing since the age of 3, Juju’s vocal journey has spanned decades. Her professional singing career began at 18 with the internationally acclaimed Napata Mero and the Chocolate Kiss Band, and she has since captivated audiences across the Bay Area with her soulful voice and magnetic stage presence, performing with top wedding and cover bands for over 20 years.

Juju’s Burlesque is the latest expression of her creative vision—written, produced, and performed by Juju herself.

With deep roots in the Bay, her desire is to release original music and continue producing vibrant stage shows right here in her hometown of Oakland, California
