DUANE PATTON'S MUSICAL STORY

Duane was born in Walnut Creek, CA, and was raised in Richmond, CA.  

At age 11, Duane was signed to CBS Records along with the Bay Area’s “unsung musical group,” The Together Band.  At the same time, he was invited to perform at the CBS Convention Showcase with artists such as EWF, Barbra Streisand, Journey, and other CBS recording artists.

Under CBS Records, Duane had the opportunity to be produced by Henry Crosby (one of the producers of The Jackson 5’s ABC album).  During the CBS audition, Clive Davis was one of the board members who encouraged CBS to sign The Together Band.

In addition to CBS Records, Duane was signed with HDH Records (Holland Dozier Holland) as an artist, songwriter, and producer.

Another notable accomplishment was Duane receiving a platinum album as one of the vocalists on Too Short’s album “Short Dog In The House” for the song, “The Ghetto.”

Duane’s musical journey continues while performing with his band, “Patton Leatha Band” at major casinos including the MGM Grand, Caesar’s Palace, Bellagio, Muckleshoot, Peppermill, El Dorado, Circus Circus, Graton, Red Hawk, Cache Creek, Thunder Valley, Twin Pines, along with a host of others.

In 2024, his debut at Yoshi’s was a sold-out success! In 2026, he returns to tell his musical story.  Duane will share about his musical career while performing many of his original compositions. This concert is rich with storytelling of his experiences in life and the music industry. Duane’s musical journey will also include performances of new original material, along with his personal favorites.
