DEE DEE SIMON PRESENTS: OG IDOL 2024

Dee Dee Simon, a gifted and ever-evolving singer, actress, and producer, has introduced a new talent competition called “OG Idol” for seasoned singers aged 40 and above. The competition is designed for singers who don’t need autotune or special effects to sing, but just the right opportunity to showcase their raw talent. Dee Dee Simon, who is also known for her Whitney Houston Tribute show, winner of Steve Harvy's Hoodie Awards, and current winner of 2023 Amateur Night at the Apollo, has provided a platform for all adult singers who still wish to pursue their dreams. Some may call these seasoned singers “OGs”, and some may consider them too old for American Idol or other singing competitions that are geared toward younger artist. OG Idol is the perfect platform for good old-fashioned singing & soulful entertainment!

OG Idol contestants will be competing at various locations throughout the greater Bay Area. The semi-finals will be held at Tommy Ts, where 12 contestants will meet up and compete. The winners will move forward to the grand finale and cash prize here at Yoshi’s Oakland. The final contestants are yet to be announced.
