The Dazz Band was the first group from Cleveland, Ohio to win a Grammy for Best Performance by an R&B Group or Duo with their smash hit "Let It Whip" in 1982. Led by original founder Bobby Harris, The Dazz Band is renowned for their electrifying blend of R&B, funk, and soulful ballads. They racked up over 20 hits on Billboard's R&B and Pop charts, including classics like "Joystick," "Swoop," "Heartbeat," "Let It All Blow," "On the One for Fun" and more and remain in recurring rotation.

Current members include Grammy-winning saxophonist Bobby Harris, who founded the group in the late 1970s. Harris, a prolific producer, served as producer or co-producer on all 13 Dazz Band albums, including 7 on the Motown label. Bobby Harris has been pivotal to the group’s success and led The Dazz Band to tour alongside legends like Rick James, Luther Vandross, The Gap Band, Kool & the Gang and many more. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to music and philanthropy and helped garner The Dazz Bands Gold and Platinum record success. In the 80's The Dazz Band performed on shows like *Soul Train*, *Solid Gold* and *American Bandstand* and over 4 decades later, their music continues to be featured in major motion pictures, commercials, and video games today.

In 2025, The Dazz Band proudly introduces Lead Vocalist SNCR (pronounced Sincere). Hailing from Norfolk, Virginia SNCR seamlessly blends genres, bringing a fresh and innovative sound that draws from the rhythmic complexities of hip-hop, the smooth, emotive qualities of R&B, and the infectious grooves of funk. Lead Vocalist Maurice Smith, a three-time Grammy winner, and Mississippi native has worked with some of the music industry's most influential artists and producers, including Seal, Kanye West, Peabo Bryson, and the Eagles.

Guitarist Marlon “The Magician” McClain has been with The Dazz Band since 1984. Marlon began his professional music journey as guitarist and co-founder of Portland, Oregon's Nationally known group "Pleasure”. Marlon is a prolific guitarist who has recorded countless legends in the industry including En Vogue, Jeff Lorber, Toni Braxton, Charlie Wilson, Kenny G and more! Original Keyboardist and vocalist Keith Harrison, received a Grammy during his time with The Dazz Band from 1983-1988 and co-wrote The Dazz Band biggest UK single "Let It All Blow." Keith also led the band Faze-O and wrote one of the most sampled songs in rap history, "Riding High." Award-winning drummer Raymond Calhoun is a native of Washington, DC who spent 3 decades as Drummer with The Gap Band. Raymond also penned their number one hit ballad "Outstanding", one of the most sampled songs in hip-hop history. Vocalist Alvin Frazier hails from Cleveland, Ohio where the band began. Alvin brings extensive experience as a solo artist and onstage energy to enrich every live performance!
