CONCORD HIGH SCHOOL JAZZ BAND

Concord High School is taking over the famous Yoshi’s Jazz Club for ONE NIGHT ONLY. Make sure you buy tickets for what is sure to be an incredible evening of music, joy, and celebrating music education.

$30 per ticket. Doors at 7. Show starts at 7:30PM.

This is a great performance opportunity for our students, an amazing fundraiser for our program, and a fun night out for the adults!

Here’s a rundown of the evening…

Concord's 3 jazz combos will each take the stage with a couple of tunes! These combos represent "Jazz 2", the introductory jazz course of Concord High. These young, motivated musicians have grown so much throughout the year and are excited to kick off the show at this monumental venue.

Concord's top combo will also take the stage - "Thelonious Punk". This year, they received 3rd place at the Folsom Jazz festival, the largest jazz competition in CA. They also received a score of 98 at Campana Jazz Fest!

A fun staple of the evening is the Concord High School Alumni Jazz Band! Alumni in this band have performed and graduated from music programs at Sac State, Cal State East Bay, UC Berkeley, UCLA, San Francisco Conservatory, California’s Jazz Conservatory, Diablo Valley College, and the US Marines.

The night will close out with the Concord High School Jazz Ensemble I. This year, they hav consistently received 1st place and Sweepstakes finishes in competitions. Their most recent accolade was participating in Festival Finals at the Folsom Jazz Festival, an honor given to the top 5 jazz bands in the state! Jazz 1 is all about precision, throwing some musical surprises at the audience, and always putting a party on stage.
