ALAMEDA HIGH SCHOOL

Hailing from Alameda, CA, the Alameda High School (AHS) Jazz Band is a program of high-caliber musicians. Ages 14-18, they share a passion for creativity and improvisatory music expressed through the jazz idiom. Performing music from funk to samba to swing, these high school students bring the very best to the bandstand to every rehearsal and concert. Next time you find yourself on the lovely island of Alameda, you will undoubtedly find this ensemble performing somewhere for the community. The AHS Jazz Band performs around three concerts per year, competes annually, and is beyond thankful for the opportunity to perform on the Yoshi's stage for the 5th year in a row!
